The business area is an important market player that can supply complete and technically leading solutions, and
Scana has a presence in the most central markets. The acquisition of Scana Zamech (2009) and strengthening of
the representative offices are following the group’s strategy for the development of the Marine business area. The
establishment of the product area Scana Propulsion, the group will coordinate sales, marketing, purchases, product
development and production when it comes to propellers, gears, thrusters and remote control. The steel companies
have products that enter in the propulsion companies’ products, and this enables a high level of control of the value
chain and total added value within Scana Industries ASA.
