Scana Steel Stavanger has for a decades produced high grade wear parts for crushers – both for the mining industry, but now increasingly for rock crushing plants both in Norway and abroad. Previously, the 13% Hadfield steel was the dominant steel grade within wear resistant steel. Along came Strømhard – and wear resistant steel took on a new dimension. With greater wear resistance and an expanded range of applications compared to previously known steel grades, Strømhard has proven to contribute to a better operating economy, also due to low maintenance costs. Flattening during usage is minimal, which makes replacement a simple procedure. Strømhard has set the standard for the future’s wear resistant steels.
High wear resistance combined with high ductility is what makes Strømhard an excellent alternative in several applications:

The wear resistant steel of the future
Our own development department contributes to improving Strømhard yet another few notches. We have running projects to optimise alloys as well as process parameters – regarding maximal ductility and resistance to abrasive wear. A constant development of Strømhard will also lead to other areas of application.
