Scana Marine Service is currently building up training facilities and showrooms for our automation systems in strategic markets world wide.
Attending a training course lead by Scana Marine Service is a good complement to new builds and upgrading projects, ensuring an in-depth working knowledge of the equipment or system before it enters service.
"Showrooms" The first facilities that will be opened are located in Norway, US and Singapore. The main focus with these facilities is to offer customer training on the remote control systems, primarily aimed at operators and superintendents but will also involve more in-depth training for technical crew.
The same facilities will also be used as “showrooms” for potential customers, this will allow them to test our equipment prior to an order. The remote control systems will be connected to a simulator that imitate the response of the interfacing systems on board a ship, helping the operators understand the complete system and giving them a better view into technical possibilities and limitations.
One or more experienced training instructors from Scana will be in charge of the training. The number of participants will be limited to 3-5 people, this to ensure that each individual gets the support needed. The training will go on for 2-4 days depending on type of system and the extent of training needed.
On board As an option, the training staff can also make arrangements for on board training.
