Scana wins marine orders worth EUR 6,2 million

Scana Zamech Sp. z o.o. in Poland, a subsidiary of Scana Industrier ASA, was on October 26th, 2009 awarded marine orders worth EUR 6,2 million to supply eight new vessels with controllable pitch propellers and tunnel thrusters.

 

The vessels are 16,900 DWT bulk carriers to be built by Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co in China for the Polish ship-owner Polsteam Ship Co., Ltd. Scana Zamech's order include:

- Eight tunnel thrusters with a calculated thrust of 87 kN. Six systems will delivered in 2010 and two in 2011.
- Eight four bladed controllable pitch propellers with a diameter of 5400 mm. Four will be delivered in 2010 and four in 2011.
 

The contract was awarded following application of high technical skills and specific materials technology. Scana attaches importance to quality and delivery reliability, as well as offering total deliveries and more complete equipment groups.
