Scana Steel Björneborg is currently Scandinavia's leading manufacturer in the field of heavy open die forging.

We specialise in long, heavy components, and we have the machine capacity to process components up to 24 metres long and weighing up to 45 tonnes.

We are world leaders in many of our product segments, including Marine products, Energy products and Industry products. We are a major player on the global market.
As we have our own steelworks, we have total control over the entire production chain from steel manufacturing via forging and heat treatment through to machining, quality assurance and final delivery.

Scana Steel Björneborg's current high-tech business has strong historic foundations. The first forge in Björneborg was founded in 1656 and the town has been associated with high quality forged products ever since.

As we belong to the Scana Industrier group we have access not only to our own production facilities and skills, but can also share resources and expertise with our sister companies in the group, which specialise in high and low alloy steel, forging and casting and materials testing.
