Scana has a decentralized organization in which a large part of the group’s technical and commercial expertise is located in the various companies. Scana’s group management team and finance and accounts function are based at the head office in Stavanger, Norway.

Rolf Roverud
Group CEO

Rolf Roverud (born 1958) took office as Group CEO of Scana Industrier ASA on 1 January 2008. He was most recently Vice CEO of NSB AS, and has previously held a number of leading positions in Saga Petroleum. Mr. Roverud is an economics graduate and holds a master’s degree in strategy and management.

Christian Rugland
Group Director and CFO

Christian Rugland (born 1965) has a master’s degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Management. Mr. Rugland took up his post in January 2007, having previously worked for Petoro AS and BP Norway UA. He has been a city councilor for Stavanger since 2003.

Jan Henry Melhus
Group Director Oil & Gas

Jan Henry Melhus (46) is educated production engineer with additional marine technology post graduate. He has more than 20 years experience within the oil and gas industry, including subsea valve, wellhead and production technology, with close interaction towards cast and forged processes, machining and design.

Melhus joined Scana from the position as executive leader for GE Oil & Gas in Norway with responsibility for service and operations in Scandinavia, Russia and the Caspian sea. He has previously held the position as country manager for Vetco Gray in Norway and Denmark, as well as management positions within GMC and the ABB group.

Per Ravnestad
Group Director Business Development

Per Ravnestad (born 1952) has more than 30 years’ experience in the petroleum industries. Mr. Ravnestad joined Scana having served as Managing Director at IOS Tubular Management, where he still is the Chairman of the board. Mr. Ravestad is a major shareholder in the Scana group.
