Scana Offshore Services was formed in June 2008 when Scana acquired BOP Stacking, Inc. of Houston, Texas.  Scana Industrier ASA today owns 100 percent of Scana Offshore Services. 

Scana Offshore Services holds investments with 2 associated companies, Stingray Offshore Solutions and Petroleum Parts Supply Pte. Ltd.  SOS owns 25% of Stingray Offshore Solutions, a sales and engineering group based in Houston, TX was formed in 2009 with emphasis on design engineering, technical sales expertise, and new technology solutions.  SOS and Petroleum Parts Supply Pte. Ltd entered a joint venture in 2008 to market hydraulic hosing assembly services into the Southeast Asia oil and gas market.

Scana Offshore Services and Stingray Offshore Solutions have extensive experience with Subsea Drilling Systems and BOP-Tree handling systems.  Our experience has enabled us to evaluate and and propose potential changes to a rig's BOP and handling system to meet the latest regulations.  Our experience includes, but not limited to,  past major projects with international drilling contractors Diamond Offshore, Transocean, Noble Drilling, Frontier Drilling, and Ensco International.
