Markets and customers
Scana Offshore Vestby supplies advanced products and systems to customers in the offshore market. In 2010, the activity has been low because the financial recession still affects the company’s primary product areas within floating manufacture (FPSO). During 2010, the company has strengthened its sales and market initiatives, both within the offshore and maintenance market. Thus, the company has increased its international activities towards new customer groups. Increased interest and activity throughout 2010 is expected to yield results in 2011. In early 2011, Scana was able to gain a considerable breakthrough in Brazil by the award of a letter of intent for the delivery of unloading systems to eight FPSOs to be operating in Brazilian waters.
Products and services
The company is particularly strong with regard to the manufacture of prototypes and heavy, complex products and systems. Scana Offshore Vestby assembles, tests and installs anchoring, loading and unloading systems for floating production units. The company undertakes orders within maintenance and upgrade of equipment to the offshore industry.
