Scana do Brasil Industrias Ltda is a 100 % subsidiary of Scana, established to be responsible for sales and marketing of Scana products in Brazil and South American continent as a whole.

The company was registered in November 2009 and obtained the governmental license to operate from January 2010.

Market and customers

Despite the global financial crisis, Brazilian oil and gas market is growing vigorously. Scana aims to have part of that market
share, especially within the propulsion systems, mooring and offloading systems, as well as raw material for advanced
subsea equipment.

Petrobras, the Brazilian oil & gas company, has an ambition programme to contract several production units, drilling
units and supply vessels to be able to reach the target to produce 5.7 billions boed in 2020. In addition, the Petrobras
subsidiary Transpetro has initiated a programme to renew the existing fleet.

The company’s main priority is to gain large deliveries in Brazil based on Scana’s extensive experience
in steel fabrication and advanced components and systems for Scana’s customers in all markets segments.

State of the art equipment for the heavy industry, marine, energy market will complement the existing strong Brazilian
industry, and enforce companies to develop local content in Brazil. One of the first actions is to provide unique, local
after sales services for the existing deliveries.

Scana do Brasil’s Managing Director, Mr. Johnar Olsen, is bringing 20 years of experience with company development
to the company, and holds a strong network within the oil and gas industry. Mr. Olsen has earlier worked as an Aker
Solutions country manager, and recently as Intsok advisor in Brazil.
