A long tradition of craftsmanship

Scana Steel Booforge is founded on a forging tradition that dates back over 350 years. The production of hammered forgings began in Karlskoga, Sweden, in 1646 and was later continued under Alfred Nobel’s company, Bofors. Today the company has approximately 100 employees and operates in three product areas; lifting forks, other open die forgings and heat treatment.

Scana Steel Booforge has an extensive knowledge of materials technology, a wide range of machinery and a highly skilled workforce, all of which allow an optimized production of forged, heat-treated and machined products.
