THE SOV SERVICE CONCEPT is based on a wide range of services:
Repair
Down time is expensive. Our service team has wide experience in repair jobs offshore, inshore and at our facilities in Vestby. Several of our service engineers have the necessary certification to work offshore, and are ready to mobilize on short notice.
Maintenance
Periodic maintenance is necessary to secure the reliability of a system. It is also necessary to document the work done during periodic maintenance, and review the system condition. Our service department can plan periodic maintenance and mobilize equipment and the correct personnel for the job. Proper documentation is always a part of the work scope.
Modifications
SOV has the resources to plan and execute smaller and larger modification projects. In close co-operation with our engineering department, we can accept total responsibility for the design, implementation and documentation of a modification.
Commissioning
Commissioning require good knowledge about both the commissioned machine and connected systems. It is also necessary to know safety procedures and general work permit systems. Our service engineers have experience with using work permits, safe job analysis and livening up notices at shipyards worldwide.
Spare Parts
We offer to source spare parts both as a part of a service assignment and as plain part deliverance. SOV has the resources to produce common wearing parts in house. We also offer our customers spare parts from our extensive vendor network.
Improvement Plans
As a part of service and maintenance assignments we offer to work out improvement plans that will secure continuous safe use of the assigned system or machine. The improvement plan will contain proposals for repairs and best practice operation of the system. We can also offer training in operation, service and maintenance on our systems.
Documentation
We prepare documentation for all service and maintenance jobs. In addition SOV can also facilitate third party testing and approval of systems via durability-, function- and pressure testing. SOV has close relations to the common classification organizations. Essential parts of the documentation will be system drawings, user- and maintenance manuals and part certificates.
